Born Anthony Norman Albanese on 2 March 1963, is an astute Australian politician and the Leader of the Opposition and leader of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) since the year 2019.
He has been a regular member of parliament (MP) for the division of Grayndler since the early years of 1996.
Albanese was appointed deputy prime minister of Australia under the second term of the Rudd Government in 2013 and from 2007 to 2013, served additionally as a Cabinet Minister in the same Rudd and Gillard Governments.
Born in Sydney, Albanese attended the famous St Mary’s Cathedral College, before joining to the University of Sydney where he studied economics.
