Biography of Kennedy Agyapong: family, education, private jets, net worth
Honorable Kennedy Agyapong is a Ghanaian politician and businessman who represents the New Patriotic Party in Asin Central (NPP). He was born in the Ghanaian town of Assin Dompim, in the country’s central region. He attended Adisadel College in Cape Coast for his secondary education.
Hon Kennedy holds a GCE A level and studied at Fordham University in New York, USA. He is the CEO of Assin Farms, the Sugarcare Group of Companies, and the Hollywood Shopping Center. He is the father of 23 children.
Kennedy Agyapong is still one of the few politicians who never lose an election. In the year 2000, he was elected to the Assin North constituency for the first time. In the 2004 and 2008 parliamentary elections, he kept his seat. In 2012, he was elected to the new Assin Central seat, and in 2016, he was re-elected. In the 2020 elections, he also kept his seat.
Under Nana Akufo-administration, Addo’s Kennedy Agyapong chairs the communication committee in Parliament. He was instrumental in the victories of many NPP parliamentary candidates, including K.T Hammond and others. In July 2018, he was cross-examined for contempt of Parliament.
Cars and Private Jet
Hon. Agyapong is thought to be the first Ghanaian to acquire a private plane and a $8 million Rolls Royce.
He is also said to own a number of properties and businesses in Ghana.
The Assin Central MP is married to Stella Wilson Agyapong with rumored twenty-three children namely; Shannon Agyapong, Kenneth Agyapong, Gifty Agyapong, Annel Agyapong, Antoinette Agyapong, Amanda Agyapong, Gareldine Agyapong, Christabel Agyapong, Tracy Agyapong, Yvonne Agyapong, Kevin Agyapong, Daniella Agyapong, Lexi Agyapong, Kendrick Agyapong, Kendra Agyapong, Kendra Agyapong, Akwasi Agyapong, Kwame Agyapong, Akua Agyapong, Cassandra Agyapong, Nana Akua Agyapong, Abigail Agyapong.
Kennedy Agyapong is reported to have a net worth of $12 million. He is one of Ghana’s wealthiest politicians. Under the Kenpong group of enterprises, he owns around 20 firms. As a result of his businesses, he earns $7.5 million every year.
