Chelsea confirm the contract termination of first team midfielder

Chelsea did something that, to my knowledge, has never occurred at this club. They have ended a player’s contract by mutual agreement, allowing him to become a free agent.
By the way, as harsh as it may seem, I wholeheartedly support this. But ultimately, it is most likely advantageous for each party. Even if it may be unpleasant for the player, at least he is now free and in a position to negotiate with a new club without having to worry about a charge or loan fee.
Ross Barkley departed the club by mutual consent. He became a free agent, according to Chelsea, despite the fact that his contract still had one year remaining, indicating a mutually agreed termination of his employment. Even though Chelsea would likely have had to pay him back financially, this is still a brilliant move on their part. Let’s face it, Barkley was never going to play another game for Chelsea.
Ross Barkley has left Chelsea by mutual consent.
Wishing you well for the future, Ross! 🤝
