Chelsea ‘considering Cristiano Ronaldo transfer after holding further talks with Man United star’s agent’
CHELSEA is still weighing up a move for Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.
Several clubs are said to be interested in the superstar and have been on high alert following Ronaldo’s revelation that he Chelsea is considering a bid for wantaway Cristiano Ronaldo
Chelsea is believed to be at the front of the queue to sign him and is now considering a bid, report.
Owner Todd Boehly first made contact with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes last month but talks have reportedly continued since.
And according to the Independent Ronaldo is willing to accept a sizeable wage cut to push for a move as he is desperate to continue playing Champions League football.
But before making a move for CR7 Boehly will first make sure he has the blessing of Thomas Tuchel.
The Chelsea boss is believed to be a fan of Ronaldo but first would like the opportunity to talk to the striker and discuss how he will fit into his system.
United is thought to be unwilling to let Ronaldo leave but the Blues will continue to monitor his situation in the case that stance changes.
Napoli has also emerged as a potential destination for the Portuguese after he informed United of his wish to leave.
Roma, Bayern Munich and former club Sporting Lisbon are reportedly interested too but Chelsea appears to be the frontrunners
