Chelsea offered Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo as Thomas Tuchel promised at least six new signings
Both Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo have been made available to Chelsea this summer.
The new Blues co-owner Todd Boehly has been approached by agents for the superstar combo in an effort to persuade him to make a dramatic move for their clients.
It happens after Ronaldo informed Manchester United that if they get a good offer for him, he wants to leave.
The 37-year-old is dissatisfied with Old Trafford’s lack of transfer activity and longs to compete for significant titles and play in the Champions League.
Due to family obligations, Ronaldo was permitted to miss today’s first day of preseason practice at United.
His agent, Jorge Mendes, has already spoken with Boehly about a potential transfer for his client and has offered to help the club acquire additional players.
Neymar is reportedly open to a move to English football, and Paris Saint-Germain is willing to let him go. Thomas Tuchel is hesitant to sign a superstar, thus it is yet unknown how Chelsea would pay his £606,000 weekly salary.
Boehly and Clearlake Capital, the new owners of Chelsea, have given Tuchel a commitment to make at least six new recruits this summer in order to close the gap between Manchester City and Liverpool by the start of the next season.
