Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s resignation, The Inner story…
The management discussed firing Prosper Narteh Ogum before game day 27 because he wouldn’t budge on some of their decisions, but they were afraid of the fallout because “he had become the fans’ favorite despite some home defeats.”

Prosper Narteh Ogum informed a few close friends that the management had been treating him disrespectfully over various technical matters. He was unaware of the two-week long trial taking place in Sheriff Tiraspol of Mudasiru Salifu, Andrews Appau, and Richard Boadu.
Additionally, Prosper Narteh Ogum warned the management to avoid speaking with players that weren’t on his wishlist. Some of the players on his list were these. Razak Abdul Yussif, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Abdulai Iddrisu, and Joseph Tetteh Zutah
His decision to sign Joseph Tetteh Zutah away from Medeama SC was opposed by the management. He emphasized that Tetteh Zutah is one of his key targets for the upcoming season.

At his late father’s one-week celebration, Prosper Narteh Ogum raised concern over the club’s board and management members who were noticeably absent.
During the discussion, Prosper Narteh Ogum steadfastly refused to make concessions about the club’s transfer activity of selling some important players. If you insist that some of the players shouldn’t be sold, can you get us the $3 million budget for the 2022–23 season’s campaign? “They’ll stay if you can bring us the money.”
17 players were on Prosper Narteh Ogum’s wishlist for Asante Kotoko‘s upcoming season. He requested that the club’s “board and management members” fire ten players. The club disapproved of his decision to bring in 17 new players and let go of 10 players.
During the meeting, Prosper Narteh Ogum verbally informed the Board that he was unable to continue in his capacity as Asante Kotoko’s head coach.
