English-born Ghanaian forward Charles Sagoe Jr. has penned down his first professional contract with Premier League side Arsenal.

Since joining the Gunners at age11, the versatile attacking midfielder, now17, has been a constant threat on offense for Arsenal. He previously played for Fulham.
Sagoe Jr. made an immediate impact as he came off the bench to score the game-winning goal in the 92nd minute of Arsenal’s 4-3 Papa John’s Trophy group-stage victory over Newport County.
Last season, he participated in 29 games across all competitions, recording ten goals and three assists.
“It’s an amazing feeling to sign my first professional contract with Arsenal Football Club,” Charles Jr told Arsenal Media.
“I see the project that Mikel Arteta and Per Mertesacker are doing, how they’re developing young players and I want to be a part of it.”
The London giants have congratulated Sagoe Jr on signing his first professional contract and look forward to seeing him continue his development.
