GOVERNMENT SHOULD FIND SOMETHING REASONABLE TO TELL US, OR ELSE WE ARE NOT GOING BACK TO THE CLASSROOM

National Association Of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) has come out to say the government should find something reasonable to tell them about their Cost Of Living Allowance (COLA) or else they will not go back to the classroom.
A representative of the NAGRAT yesterday on Utv’s late-night discussion said if the government of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the minister of Education doesn’t find words that can comfort their heart, they will not go back to the classroom.
He said teachers, are really suffering. Some can not even rent not of taking care of their families.
He continued that, they are taking twenty percent but after meeting with the ministers, they didn’t say anything concerning our plight so we are also not going to the classrooms.
“If the government calls us tonight and says, I can not give you the twenty percent that you are requesting for but maybe this is the small or the percentage that I can give to you, we will run to the classrooms immediately”.
He added that this is not the first time that they are taking COLA but they have taken some before during the time of the late president, Rt Lieutenant Jerry John Rawlings, and the formal president, John Dramani Mahama.
So they are pleading with the Government to please listen to them and do something about it for them.
