Gyakie to feature Davido on “My Diary” EP dropping Friday
The tracklist for Gyakie’s sophomore EP, “My Diary,” was officially released two days ago.
This Friday, July 22, 2022, will see the release of the eagerly awaited 6-track EP.
In addition to what appears to be the launch of an alter identity entitled Song Bird, the tracklist’s release revealed a collaboration with Nigerian hitmaker Davido, who is the lone feature listed.
Gyakie has been touring to promote each of her two singles, “Something” and most recently “For My Baby,” which are all from her sophomore EP “My Diary.

On July 16, Africa’s Gyakie performed in the United Kingdom for Akwaaba UK’s Ghana Party In The Park.
An annual outdoor festival called Ghana Party in the Park is held in London for the Ghanaian diaspora luring tourists from Ghana, the USA, Canada, the UK, and Europe.
Fans screamed along with Gyakie’s song as she performed an exciting set, and they sang it back word for word. A few hours later, she performed at the Afro Matic with Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.
Germany’s Generation Live Concert. With performances by Christian Bakotessa and Freak De L’Afrique, among others, the event was the first of its type and provided fans with a comprehensive introduction to African music.
Gyakie’s two cross-continental performances confirm her status as a budding international artist, and given that she was recently selected Apple Music’s Rising Star of the Month for July, there is little reason not to anticipate the project’s influence on the music industry.
