Here are the Best Apple Watch deals right now; prices, discounts and where to get them

Along with a few on the cost-effective SE, the first significant reductions on the Apple Watch Series 8 have returned.
The Series 8 ($399), a redesigned Apple Watch SE ($249), and the first-ever Ultra ($799) were all introduced by Apple in September along with a new wave of smartwatches. Each wearable has its own benefits and drawbacks, but the launch of the pricey Ultra has increased the number of Apple Watch models available on the market, meaning there are many more bargains to be obtained.

But which of those possibilities should you choose? Generally speaking, you want to purchase the most recent watch you can afford so that it continues to receive software upgrades from Apple. In September, the Apple Watch Series 4 and newer models received the latest upgrade, watchOS 9. However, it is unclear with certainty whether Series 4 will receive the upcoming significant software update. Additionally, remember that, unlike some Apple items, the most significant discounts are often offered on the most recent models rather than the previous generation.
The best Apple Watch Series 8 deals
The most recent wearable in Apple’s premium Series collection is the Apple Watch Series 8. It has additional temperature sensors that enable menstruation monitoring, a new chipset (which according to our colleague Victoria Song isn’t any faster than the previous edition), crash detection, and a number of other improvements. The Series 8 isn’t much different from the Series 7 Apple Watch, despite the slight upgrades being appreciated.
The initial price of the Apple Watch Series 8 was recently reduced to $349, but the 41mm GPS model is presently available at Best Buy, Amazon, and Target for an all-time low of about $329 ($70 down). For the larger, 45mm variant, you can also get it for $70 less at Best Buy and Target, where you can purchase it for about $359 instead.
The 41mm configuration (Best Buy/Target) and its 45mm variant (Best Buy/Target), which start at $429 and $459, respectively, are both available with the same $70 discount if you’re wanting to purchase an unlocked LTE-equipped model.

$329

The most recent Apple smartwatch includes watchOS 9, Crash Detection, and temperature sensors that enable menstrual cycle monitoring, which is a feature you won’t find on any other model.
Apple Watch Series 8 (45mm, GPS)
$359

Although the Apple Watch Series 8 doesn’t significantly differ from the Series 7, it does provide Crash Detection and some incremental upgrades that will make it the preferred model for many.
The best Apple Watch SE deals
In the latter half of 2022, the Apple Watch SE was updated. The same chipset as the Series 8 is present, which is wonderful, but it has fewer sensors, no always-on display, and a somewhat antiquated appearance in comparison to the Series 7 and Series 8. For some people, those exclusions might eliminate this from consideration, but it might still be the ideal solution for you. The best part is that the 40mm Wi-Fi / GPS device starts at $249, which is $30 less than the base price of the prior version.
If you don’t mind purchasing a model from the previous generation, Walmart is even selling the 40mm, GPS-equipped SE for $199, saving you a total of $80.
2022 Apple Watch SE (40mm, GPS)
The new SE for 2022 incorporates several features from the Series 8, such as the same chipset and the Crash Detection function, although it generally represents a little improvement over the SE from the previous generation.
2022 Apple Watch SE (44mm, GPS)
Compared to the previous SE, Apple’s entry-level wearable is only slightly improved, although it does boast a speedier chipset and several watchOS 9 capabilities.
Apple Watch Ultra
The most durable and functional Apple Watch currently available is the Watch Ultra. It is larger and thicker than the Series 8 and features accurate GPS tracking and sensors that can assess diving-related data. It supports GPS and LTE and is only available in one size and configuration.
