KANYE WESTRIPS ADIDAS FOR ‘YEEZY DAY’… I Didn’t Approve!!!

Kanye West is upset that Adidas held this year’s Yeezy Day event without his consent and has a number of other grievances with the company. Yeezy Day is back this year.
On Tuesday, the third annual Yeezy Day, when Adidas re-releases several of the popular styles from Ye’s sneaker collection for two days, the artist laid out his concerns in an IG message to Complex.
Regarding Three Stripes, you were frank, saying,
“Adidas made up the Yeezy day idea without my approval. Then went and brought back older styles without my approval.”
The 45-year-old claims that, other from colours, names, and the hiring of employees that worked for him, he didn’t give the brand the “go-ahead” on pretty much everything.
“Went and hired a GM of Yeezy without my approval,” West said. “Took talent on the production side and sprinkled them throughout Adidas originals without my approval.”
Ye and Adidas have recently been at odds over the launching of their own slides, which Ye alleges was a copycat version of the Yeezy slides.
Ye also addresses this in the post, writing, “The GM lied to my face and said they didn’t have the capacity when I originally ordered Adidas to create more Yeezy slides.”
“Meanwhile, Adidas was copying my slides and making their own versions of the Yeezy slide.”
“Yeezy is 68% of Adidas online sales,” Ye said. “God step in.”
Ye and Adidas began working together in 2015, the same year the initial model, the “Boost 750,” was unveiled. Ye’s sneakers reportedly generated close to $1.7 billion in revenue in 2020.
It may be time for a meeting given that Kanye recently inked a new contract with Adidas that lasts through 2026.
