Pelosi was a known major opponent of the Iraq War as well during the Bush administration’s 2005 endeavor to moderately privatize Social Security.
She was contributory to the passage of the majority of the Obama administration’s landmark bills, which include the Affordable Care Act, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Repeal Act, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and the 2010 Tax Relief Act during her very first speakership tenure in office.
Pelosi was re-elected to a fourth term as speaker of the House on January 3, 2021, which had been predicted to be her last by many, after an arrangement with progressives.
In January 2022, she announced that she would keenly contest for reelection as a U.S. representative that very year, even though she had earlier promised in 2018 to not seek the speakership anymore.
Pelosi was a founding member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which she left later in 2003 after being elected the House minority leader.
As of January 2022, Pelosi had voted in line with Joe Biden’s stated position 100% of the time.
During Donald Trump’s presidency, Pelosi voted in line with the president’s stated position 17.6% of the time.

She is married to Paul Pelosi with whom she has five children. Namely: Children: Alexandra Pelosi, Paul Pelosi, Jr., Jacqueline Pelosi, Nancy Corinne Pelosi and Christine Pelosi.

Roll Call suggested that the couple has $13.46 million in liabilities which includes mortgages on seven properties.
