Student politics and activism
Patience became involved in mainstream student politics and activism throughout her time at university, primarily through her newspaper opinion pieces and later as a Faculty Representative for the University Of Namibia Faculty Of Law in the student union.
She later ran for and won the office of UNAM SRC Speaker of Student Parliament in 2019. She went on to work as the Secretary-General of the Namibia National Students Organisation after that (NANSO).
