Sadiya Umar Farouk, a Nigerian politician who was born on 5 November 1974, is the ministry’s minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development.

Career
She was later appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari and, as of July 2019, is the youngest minister in the current Federal cabinet.
She is regarded as one of the closest members of the new cabinet and is frequently referred to as the “supreme minister.”

Her relationship with President Buhari began when she served as the national treasurer of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) from 2011 to 2013 and afterward the All Progressive Congress.
At the time, Buhari was the leader of the organization and its presidential candidate.
