Following Monday’s pandemonium, which led in more than a dozen pupils being hospitalized, the Ministry of Education claims tranquility has restored to the Islamic Senior High School in the Ashanti Region.

Following a visit to the Islamic school on Monday night, Deputy Education Minister John Ntim Fordjour stated that all of the injured kids are safe and responding to medical treatment.
At least 30 kids from the school were reportedly taken to the hospital after police allegedly fired tear gas at them when they were protesting regular knockdowns in front of the school.
During their demonstration, the kids were alleged to have stopped the road in front of their school, forcing administrators to summon the police.
Despite the terrible nature of the occurrence, the Deputy Minister assured that full academic activity will continue on Tuesday.
