Stopping Anyidoho’s Atta-Mills Institute won’t be simple – Cadman Mills

Brother of the late president John Evans Atta Mills, Cadman Atta Mills, has said that his brother was a respecter of all people and would not tolerate any type of disrespect.
He recently stated that the Mills family was taking action to halt the use of his name to disparage seniors and further the goals of certain organizations and people because of this.
According to Cadman Mills, the family is investigating all legal options to halt the unrecognized Atta-Mills Institute, AMI, which is run by Koku Anyidoho, a former adviser to the late President.
He acknowledges that it won’t be simple to put an end to Anyidoho’s activities, but he also mentioned that the family was looking into two options to prevent Anyidoho from using his brother’s name incorrectly.
At a 10th anniversary celebration earlier this week, he said, “It (ending AMI) is not going to be easy, it is not going to be easy.
He continued to make light of his desire to work with renowned legal luminary Tsatsu Tsikata, saying in jest, “Tsatsu, I thought about placing a call to you to be part of the team but I am told that your record with the current judiciary is not very good.
The John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Heritage event included Tsikata as the keynote speaker.
Last but not least, Cadman said, “we won’t just rely on the courts; I’d like to make an appeal to the court of public opinion, which I think is the only court worth while.”
While others have questioned how the family may utilize the legal system to prevent Anyidoho from using his former boss’ name to establish a Non-Governmental Organization, NGO, the AMI CEO appears willing to let the family get their way without utilizing the court system.
In a tweet on July 26, he said, “There will be a Koku Anyidoho Institute (KAI), to work for President Atta-Mills. He sent out a second tweet in response to the threat, saying: “Because of my tremendous respect for President Atta-Mills, I shall not engage in combat with Cadman Atta-Mills and Sammy Atta-Mills. Allow them to endure their SHAME. The Koku Anyidoho Institute will continue President Atta-Mills’ legacy. The glory belongs to God Almighty.
